The White Cottage - Berne

To our surprise, the waitress, who is also the owner, informed us that our meals included ice cream. She brought us generous portions of either chocolate, vanilla, or swirl ice cream, and it was SOOO good! They also offer around 85 different flavors of milkshakes, which is impressive. I can't wait to return! As for kid-friendliness, the staff was very sweet and accommodating to our boys. This was a terrific stop after spending time with friends at Pine Lake. The jumbo pork loin sandwich was massive, the chicken tenders lightly coated, the hushpuppies wonderfully crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries and coleslaw were on point, but make sure to leave room, what's not disclosed is that you get a dish of ice cream with your meal. We were deliciously stuffed.
