Taverna Dimokritos - Berlin

As Greek and as a food snob I avoid in the regular Greek restaurants outside Greece until my partner discovered it. it's the real one.

I have at least eaten six times in this restaurant over the years and has never been disappointed. it was always super, the place itself is cozy.

At the two places I visited this Greek restaurant, it was on a Friday after playing badminton for hours. in both places the place has.

We had an amazing esperience. the food was delicious and the staff was very welcoming. it was a perfect night. totally recommended!

We returned to the new mastiha 4 times. her grilled dorado is fabulous, her appetizer platter is diverse, tasty and huge. and the couple that owns the restaurant are charming and make her feel like home. oh, and then there is the amazing ice-cold ouzo, which has floating crystals in it. also wonderfully filled zucchini with soy meat for vegetarians or they will make them something they like (filled aubergine.) it is our new favorit.
