Ristorante La Merita - Berlin

Whether in summer outside or in winter in the restaurant, the service is always very carefree and friendly and the food is always delicious.

Having arrived at the airport early and the plane delayed we decided to find the nearest restaurant to the airportThis proved to be very good decision as the restaurant had an extensive menu with a good range of dishes, nicely presented and well cooked.The service was also very efficient and friendlyA good way to spend a 3 hour delay

Staying around the corner from the airport we checked out TripAdvisor for somewhere close by to eat. Up popped the Ristorante La Merita. We struggled for parking close by so we left it on the main road. Arrived to find a few people in for a Sunday evening. Nine of us sat down to eat. The chap on duty was a good laugh and also sorted food very quickly. Food was of great quality but just a word of warning for any one thinking of having the antipasti per due. We thought it might be meat based maybe with some artichokes olives etc. Plate arrived and was a selection of pasta/s with different sauces. Wasn't what we thought but it was still tasty and enjoyable. We had a mix of pizzas, pasta and salad dishes for our mains and the quality and taste of the food was great. Would agree with other reviewers with regards to flies/insects inside. It was a bit off putting when seeing them on he ceiling but thankfully didn't detract from the meal. Would be useful to try and control the little blighters though.

The food was good but in the dining room were some insects, flies and moskitos. That was pretty annoying. Waiters were good!
