Ristorante A Mano - Berlin

I ventured to this place for lunch on one of the many days I am spending in Berlin because of my work, and I explicitly contravened my own rule not to go to Italian restaurants outside Italy.It seems that destiny wanted to teach me a lesson here, and despite the nice interiors and the beautiful white table dressing, the rest of the lunch was a complete disappointment.The burrata I had as a starter came so dry I could not recognize it, and it looked like an old mozzarella instead.The spaghetti with tuna, tomatoes and capers were floating in oil and the tuna was cut in pieces to large to mix up with the spaghetti.Finally, there was no wine list, and I could only order a glass of white wine, without being given any choice.In addition to all the above, the place is severely overpriced.

Visited this restaurant as a couple. Pretty interior ans very italian atmosphere. Didnt feel at all that you where in germany.Service was great and perfect with only italian people working as waiters i believe.Food. Was good. But it was nothing very special for example for an aneversery dinner or other celebrations. But for sure if you are looking for a good restaurant to spend the night in for a good price range. This is the place!

We came to A Mano with high hopes but left disappointed. It seems there are several waiters scurrying around to various tables but nobody dedicated to a certain area. This left us for 10-20 minutes at a time trying to get somebody's attention. The locals seemed to be the focus. Some highlights-The house wine was good and reasonable- the mixed antipasto of meats cheeses and other items was very good and cheap- the arugula salad with Parmesan was good with the sampler plate but bland on its own (it was underdressed)- we waited a very long time in between the appetizers and entrees which would have been fine if we could get someone's attention for another round of drinks- my wife got the pasta with shrimp in garlic and oil. It was tasty but surprisingly dry , both the pasta and shrimp- my gnocchi in marinara was fine but did not come out hot- we would have loved desert but spent another 30 minutes trying to get anyone's attention for the check - the ravioli and steak at the other tables looked good so maybe we mis ordered. However the service is awful.

We wanted to try this place out after seeing the reviews on the TripAdvisor. We took a chance and went there without reserving beforehand, and luckily got a table. It was however evident from the start that we were easy to forget. We were offered complimentary bread and olives, but we did not get asked if we wanted anything to drink. It took a while before the waiter finally came and took our order, drinks and food. But the drinks were not served until we got our food, which we found a bit odd. The food itself tasted wonderful though, no argument there. But when it came about the dessert, the dessert for my girlfriend was served with two spoones, which I guess was because it was believed we wanted to share. So we thought they had forgotten the dessert of had ordered for myself, but after 10 minutes or so, after the first dessert, it finally came. And during the whole time there, we were attended by 4 different waiters, which did not seem to communicate. In addition to that we had to ask for the check twice, from two different waiters. We also noticed that some of the neighboring tables were also served apologies for food being late. I guess they did not have a good night at the office today..

We had dinner here and came 1 hour earlier that our reservation, they were able to seat us immediately. We had to choose to sit outside or inside, and could not be moved as they expected rain. We took our chances and almost finished our meal before the rain started, but were able to finish the vine inside. The service was very good. Our steaks were more cooked than what we asked for, not a huge problem, and I find that this happens in most restaurants, but still a let down. Good vine. Recommend the restaurant.
