Bidrage med feedbackDinner with my wife! Great experience and certainly recommended after three days of more traditional ‘Berlin’ cuisines/foods/snacks : Good price/quality and nice atmosphere! Friendly staff! Only we as ‘tourists’ not completely familiar with the how’s and do’s of the fondue and a little guidance is then always welcome! Certainly recommend and easy to get to with the u-bahn.
Ordered a table online, got the confrimation on mail. When we arrived we were told there was no table before they called us to confimed it. But they found a table for us, We were Lucky there was one free... Thouhg it was not that busy. She was unpolite and seemed to have no intrest in our visit. 2 stars because the food was ok.
Excellent Fondue dinner. The nicest surprise was that I am not even a cheese eater but was just wowed by the Swiss cheese Fondue ordered by my wife. I went for the classic Ars Vini Fondue which is the combination of beef, pork and chicken chunks and a couple a tiger prawns, and as other reviewers indicated, it was good for two of us, when combined with the cheese fondue and one other side disk. It was all very delicious. Yes, budget 50 60 Euros each (including wine and then don't worry about prices once you are in. Thanks to a previous reviewer who indicated that we would leave the restaurant with our clothes smelling fondue, but honestely it was really not that bad. Better to plan on a change though if you are going out to a Club afterwards. Even the air inside the restaurant was surprisingly nice. I was afraid (as a non cheese eater to be overwhelmed by cheese smell but even though every table had cheese fondue going, it was not in any way an issue. A nice hint from one of the waiters who advised NOT to cook the prawns before the meat in order to avoid the whole meal tasting of fish. And talking about waiters, since many of the previous reviewers have complained about awful service, I'll take a moment to say that there was no such issue this evening even though the sitting (21h was a full house. It seemed that there were at least four if not five servers waiting the floor, each available to serve us and not just one dedicated to our table. I'll agree that we cheated though at the end because when it was time for us to leave, we just got up and went to pay at the counter. We didn't wait to see how long it would take for the bill to come. As for desert, we did not have place but still decided to order a chocolate fondue that we split. It was a little underwhelming however. We probably should have ordered one each even though we weren't hungry any more. There was simply not enough fruit or chocolate for two of us. All in all, we were very happy with the experience, which was quite easy to get to (M1+ a little walk from where we were staying in Alexanderplatz. Just note that you can get a short distance tram ticket (less than six stops and not pay the full fare for that trip. :
This restaurant offers numerous fondues all delicious. Great value for money. The staff are very welcoming and the ambiance if great. We went both nights we were in Berlin. Just the best
It's nice that the Ars Vini has found such a beautiful place for himself. It was very pleasant and warm. And especially delicious and clean. The hygiene concept is good and the location is cozy and harmonious. What else do you want?
