Yafo - Berlin

The Yafo is finally back! The mood, like in the old Yafo, is alive and buzzing. It reminds of Tel Aviv. It's nice to have this institution back! The food is great. There have even made some delicious dishes from the Shishi card into the new menu.

Great food, wonderful staff, cool atmosphere. What more could you want? Oh, and best humus in Berlin!

I eat in a lot of restaurants in Berlin, but there is no other place with such an atmosphere as in Yafo! Nice waiters and food that warms the body and soul. highly recommended!

I have fond memories of eating at Yafo in Mitte so I was eager for their reopening. Unfortunately, the experience was mediocre and I will need to reconsider before revisiting. A few reasons: 1) the setup was too noisy and acoustics were weird and it was often hard to hear people at my own table. (2) the portion sizes have reduced considerably — I guess some of that is unavoidable due to inflation but it felt pricy for the food. Wunderbar! Amazing place with very tasty israeli food, caring and dedicated staff, and great cocktails on top of that (the one with Arak is a very cool creation).
