Their Gyozas are very tasty but their sushi is nothing special to be honest. We ordered four different sushi and all of them taste the same… Their fish is fresh, no problem there. The service is poor though, had to go to the cashier and pay for my bill, we were missing soy sauce plates, had to get up and grab it myself. If you really really crave sushi, yes you can go here, but if you don’t, I’d recommend somewhere more local, like Fish market.
Delicious and fresh sushi! Kind and welcoming staff. Pro tip (not in the menu): get the seared salmon nigiri
It is not easy to find Burmese restaurants outside of Myanmar. I definitely miss the mohinga, their national rice noodle dish, and there was no mohinga in Mandalay Sushi (or did I overlook that? , so I had the tom yum and chicken curry instead. The seafood soup of tom yum was creamy and aromatic, mildly spicy with a tasty coconut flavour. The curry was fine, pleasantly thick and flavourful sauce which tasted close to what I had tried in Myanmar, though the ingredients were not in the best form chicken was dried and bland in taste. It was great that the curry dish was complimented by Japanese rice. This is my favourite type of rice which is fluffier and slightly stickier than the others.
Very good sushi and a great range of vegetarian options! Not really the cheapest Asian food in Bergen, but worth the price.
