Salty's Bbq - Benton Park

I got a chicken sandwich and it was not presented well. A bun with chopped up chicken. Was not impressed with the taste either.

Love this place, is about 1 1/2 from my town, but when I go to Bakersfield I have to stop to this place to get my BBQ pork, beef, ribs, with tri-tip, Mac Cheese, and coleslaw. Great place if you love BBQ, give it a try when you around Bakersfield. I recommend the Beef ribs. Parking: They have alot of parking, and drive true Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they do

I have been in Bakersfield for a little over a year and have been craving good barbecue, real barbecue I should say. So I finally decided to try Salty's. I ordered through the drive thru. Service was good and fast and once I got home and started to eat, the pulled pork meat only was real barbecue and tender delicious, for my side I chose potato salad, it was the grossess potato salad I have ever ever tasted, it was so bad I could not even swallow the bite down, I had to spit it out. Lord have mercy. If I ever go back. I will never order any sides. Meat only please and thank you.

Had the pleasure of not only eating at this place which served the absolute BEST mac and cheese, brisket, tri-tip, and ribs... oh, and the potatoe salad (creamy, dill flavored, yellow potato salad) mmmm. But also, met the Man himself, Jeff Salters. GOD fearing, devoted, humble, dedicated, and just an amazing human being with an amazing story. If steppin out on faith was a person, he fits the bill. My wife, daughter, and myself were traveling from Sac to Vegas and BBQ was the request. We pulled into Salty's off White Ln with empty bellies and left on full with smiles and blessings. The service was a 10, the food, especially the mac and cheese (oh my GOD), was a 10, and the owner was a hundred! Thanks Jeff and staff. We'll be returning.
