El Fresco Cafe - Bentleigh

My experience at this restaurant was truly enjoyable. I prefer to have my cappuccino with sugar added while the coffee is being made, and the elderly man at the counter understood and accommodated my request. We ordered two skinny cappuccinos, extra hot, with one sugar each, to enjoy in the restaurant. This may sound simple, but not everyone can get it right - yet they did it perfectly. The coffee was excellent, the service was great, and the interior of the restaurant was nice and clean. I absolutely loved it.

The staff at this restaurant are wonderful. I ordered a skinny chocolate milkshake on a Sunday morning and the special omelette with Chorizo, Spinach, and feta. It was delicious and the portion size was very generous.

Discovered the perfect spot for coffee and egg toast in Bentleigh. The ambiance is great and the staff is hospitable. Pooja and Alina served us with a smile and patience. Highly recommend this place.

Elfresco is clearly a long-time favorite cafe for locals. From simple foods on the display to a simple a la carte menu, everything is simple. You wouldn 't find anything fancy here but 'not-so-complicated food '. Coffee could be a little bit too hot sometimes due to the majority of customers ' preference, which is understandable. Service actually is pretty good here, nice and friendly. I would say this is not the kind of cafe for foodies but people who need so called 'real food '. I like this place and recommend it to you guys.

What a great experience for breakfast!  I last ate here over a year ago.  Then I thought it was awful.  I ordered a poached egg on toast with bacon.  And specifically asked for the toast to be buttered.  The egg was stone cold when it arrived – sitting on the middle of cold dry toast.  No bacon, no butter.  This was accompanied by a bitter cappuccino.
