Woodcutters Kitchen - BENTLEIGH EAST

I had been eager to visit this restaurant ever since I first heard about it, mainly due to my love for wood-fired cuisine and also because my parents used to own the milk bar that occupied this space in the '80s. Every pizza we ordered was perfect and bursting with flavor, and the brownie was truly outstanding. It was a pleasure chatting with Jim, the owner, who is incredibly passionate about his work.

After passing by for a few months, we finally decided to give Woodcutters a try tonight. Both pizzas were fantastic, particularly the house-made sourdough crust and the fresh greens on top. The wine and beer selection was also quite extensive.

The coffee here is absolutely amazing! I really enjoy this place; their wood-fired brewing methods add a fantastic flavor! And the best part is, you can also get a beer!

My first venture today (with Miss 11 massive tick for the granola and the pancakes! Oh, and the hot chocolate and vanilla milkshake. #we'llbeback. (Got takeaway 12 grain for lunch...if I wasn't so full I'd eat some now!

Cocktails were delish! Try the Pretty in Pink (pink margarita), and the Passion on Mackie (passionfruit mohito). We didn’t eat on this occasion, but the food smelled and looked fantastic. Will probably go back for a meal very soon.
