Taberna De Bode - Benavente

Arrived in this packed bar on a recommendation. Waiter was very nice and offered us one of the wine barrels near the bar to eat at as no tables available. Got the salmorejo on his recommendation which was very nice, then a tosta with foie and caramelized apple and goats cheese, the other octopus and potatoe All great but 6e each salmorejo is crazy expensive for spain. That was the only downside. Didnt know the price as it wasn't on the menu, went on the recommendation of the waiter as i said above

Stopped for lunch on our way from Madrid to Gijon. Beautiful day to sit outside in their outdoor patio. Food was amazing, service was top notch. Terrific experience! We started with tortilla de patata, and calamari. Hubby had the tosta with foie gras and carmelized apples and raisins. Two red wines, two beers. Leftovers to take with us. $35 Euros. Highly recommend!

El mejor lugar de Benavente para llenarse la boca y disfrutar de ello, super recomendable
