Stopped at Maa tara hotel randomly for lunch while travelling from Raniganj to Bankura. And I am very very happy with them. The hotel is a small roadside dhaba style hotel, they have chairs and beds too as seating, good fans . You can relax properly. Food was being cooked and kept hygienic, I saw it while ordering. Now coming to food. We ordered 1 veg and 2 chicken thali. Veg thali had- rice steaming), jhuri aloo bhaja, kundri bhaja, daal thick, not watery), mixed vegetable, aloo posto, salad cucumber ,onion and chilli) and papad. Chicken thali had extra chicken, 3pcs. Chicken pieces were fleshy and large. Veg thali cost Rs 60 and chicken thali cost Rs 140. I feel the price is very okay because of the quality. Every item was made properly, eg- they gave enough quantity of daal, it was not watery. Aloo posto had proper amount of posto. It's like home food. And even though we went at around 3.45pm, they served us food hot and fresh. Behaviour was very good. Will definitely visit the place if I take that road. It's a wonderful place to take rest and have food while driving through a difficult highway trip.
