Olde Post Inn - Belturbet

The best restaurant in the North East, worth a visit or even an overnight stay for their excellent food and service. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is a must-visit for food lovers. The Old Post Inn offers a variety of set menus that are simply outstanding. The food is delicious and every bite leaves me feeling satisfied and happy. Whether it's the starters, mains, or desserts, I can't find any faults. The side dishes of mashed potatoes and vegetables are also lovely. In terms of price, I believe it is fair for the amazing experience and high quality of food that you receive. I would be happy to bring my friends and family here.

I am always amazed by the incredible food served at the Olde Post. The warm welcome and delicious meal make it a special place for any occasion.

For food this is a 5. Throw in accommodation and there is a drag on the score. The whole food experience is totally nailed down. A warm greeting into the marvellously atmospheric restaurant kicks it off. Settled into the lovely bright lounge, friendly service, make order, called to table. The set menu is well executed. Generous amuse bouche last night a whole mackerel fillet. We did fish turbot and Dover sole. No supplement. Attentive not intrusive service. Short wine list but some lovely items. Try Maison Ventenac Carole, the house Chardonnay and be blown away. The accommodation is tired really needs a refresh. Feels out of sync with the food offering and poor value for what you get. Funny the contrast old school is great in the restaurant but old hat in accommodation. This restaurant has been around a long time and is a tribute to the co owners. Will return for the food. This is a Fabulous restaurant. The setting is wonderful, the service is top class, and is only surpassed by the quality of the food. A visit to the Olde Poste Inn is a real treat.
