Taqueria El Taco - Belton

The photos do not accurately represent the actual food at this restaurant. The portions are extremely small, with the regular size being tiny enough to eat 25 of them. The misleading advertising, high prices, and lack of authentic Mexican food make it not worth the visit. I did not receive a refund and ended up going to Mi Pueblo instead, where the food was fantastic.

I ordered the mini taco plate at No Nonsense Road restaurant. The plate came with no side dishes, but an extra taco was included. The meat was very tender and had an amazing flavor. However, I deducted one star because the corn tortillas were broken when I picked up the taco, and the onions were undercooked. Despite my best efforts to clean and sanitize everything, unfortunately, I ended up getting food poisoning for two days after eating here.

First and foremost let me say that Taqueria El Taco has the best red sauce anywhere. Their Chile is what keeps me returning over and over but got home with my burrito and was very disappointed. I ordered a burrito of carne asada, beans and cheese for a cost of $8.01 but what I received was a burrito of just beans and cheese. I will say the food is great but double check your order when using the drive thru. This is the 2nd time my order was wrong. I’ve ordered about 25 times total so not too bad but I just paid $8 for a bean burrito.

One of me and my wife’s favorite restaurants. Great little authentic taqueria. The people are nice and the food is great! Has both indoor/outdoor seating and a drive-thru.

This charming find is conveniently located just 3 minutes from Interstate Highway 35, making it a quick detour. The service was speedy, welcoming, and attentive. I tried the menudo and it was absolutely delicious - one of the best I've had. My husband enjoyed the tacos de trompo, 2 chiles toreados, cebollitas, and a non-alcoholic sangria. I decided to spice things up with a lemonade slam, featuring chile de arbol - I had to try it for myself. Overall, it was a fantastic choice.
