Bidrage med feedbackToday, I had the pleasure of dining at Schoepf's BBQ, and I must say, the food was fantastic and the service exemplary. Miss Lindsey was wonderful; she ensured that my daughter and I were comfortable and had everything we needed. Good customer service can be hard to find, especially when it's delivered with such care, and that’s exactly what we experienced today, particularly from Lindsey. It truly warmed my heart. I also want to extend my thanks to the lady who cleaned our table, although I didn’t catch her name. Overall, the customer service was outstanding, but Lindsey definitely earns my vote for Employee of the Year. She was simply the best! Keep up the great work, everyone. Thank you!
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for barbecue, offering a genuinely authentic Texas atmosphere. We visited on a Friday night and enjoyed a wonderful live acoustic country music performance! The brisket, ribs, and sausage were all delicious, and the sides and desserts were quite good as well. I highly recommend trying the sopapilla cheesecake! The only reason I initially rated it 4 stars is because of the price. In my picture, you can see the BBQ tray along with a few sides, drinks, and nachos, and it ended up costing over $90 for three people, not including the tip. If that doesn't deter you, this place is definitely worth a visit, especially during one of their live shows. EDIT: I’ve updated my rating to 5 stars after attending Schoepf's Backyard 4th of July party. This venue is a fantastic local gem and truly deserves a visit. They frequently host live music and serve exceptional barbecue. I just moved to the area and plan to be a regular!
This is a great BBQ spot with delicious food. They close at 7 PM on weekdays, so some items I wanted were unavailable. That’s on me for arriving late. I’ll definitely give it another shot!
They say barbecue restaurants (barbecue ‘joints’? in Texas are like Baptist churches there’s one on every corner and visitors usually leave feeling blessed but a little guilty. I have had the pleasure of living in the great state of Texas forseveral years now and I can attest to the ‘blessed but guilty’ emotions. When I visit an Unchained Barbecue restaurant inTexas I really want to try one of everything on the menu because I know it’ll bless my belly. But, I also know that I mightmiss my calorie cap for the day as well. Such was my quandary when I visited Schoepf's BBQ in Belton, TX recently. Schoepf’shas been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine, Food Network, and PBS. That much publicity creates some well deserved foot traffic.I chose a late lunch hour on a weekday and discovered (as might be expected that many cuts of meat were already sold out. But,my trusty go to order of lean brisket and mild smoked sausage were still in good supply. I opted for the sweet sauce with themeat and I paired mac ‘n cheese potato salad. Meat is ordered in one room and handily placed on butcher paper and a metaltray. Customers then move over to the main dining room and the final serving line. There they pick a side or two and possiblyopt for some yummy dessert. Out back Schoepf’s has built a great outdoor music and party venue. Be sure to check out theirwebsite or Facebook page for a calendar of upcoming events. I highly recommend the next time you're traveling along the I 35parking lot in Central Texas, take a short break in Belton and visit Schoepf's. They'll welcome you with a smile!
Awesome Texas BBQ atmosphere with pretty average food. The meats were very bland even with the different barbecue sauces. The portions to the price were off as well. The Mac and cheese was tiny and soupy. Definitely much better in the area BBQ wise, butstill a fun place to try.
