Bidrage med feedbackThis place is incredible! I've been coming here since the '70s, starting as a young boy in the '90s. I'd play outside while my stepdad, Troy, worked on his meal for Carmen (rest in peace). It's a fantastic spot with wonderful people and delicious, affordable food! Please come and support this establishment to help keep its legacy alive during these challenging times!
Although the exterior of the restaurant isn't very appealing, the interior is warm and spacious. They offer some outdoor seating and a well-equipped indoor dining area. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered the mixed plate, which included a variety of items for just $7.50. The typical accompaniments (jalapeños, spicy salsa, onions, limes, etc.) are available for takeout, and there's a station with a selection of chips, though remember they are left outside and may get stale. It's not a major issue, but it’s nice to have the option. The tostada was delicious, and the enchilada, beans, and tamale were also very tasty. The taco was straightforward, and the rice was a bit bland. Overall, I have no complaints—it's a fantastic value. The price is very reasonable, and the friendly owner deserves your support, so definitely give this place a try!
This is a fantastic spot for families. The owner, Kook, was very friendly and even invited us to play chess with him. The menu is very reasonably priced; I paid under $40 for five people, drinks included. The chips are self-serve and come with a variety of toppings such as salsa, beans, and cheese. I learned that this restaurant has been around since the 1970s. The food is homemade and absolutely delicious.
Very cozy local family oriented. Eating was delicious must stop eating there. You have your own chips and salsa with nacho cheese and pinto beans. The salsa are on the side and you pour your own drink. The price is very affordable we have 5 plates plus drinks it was $36. They have a large table to eat and 4 additional seats. For the desert you can get a free leche quemado candy. The cook will give you the history of this place.
Carmen's is just a charming, quaint wonderful little place on the side of the road. The owner is warm and friendly and so hospitable! He makes his own Salsa both green and red, and I could have made a meal on that alone! The place was his Mother's and he keeps it open in her memory. He also uses a lot of her recipes. As someone else said there is seating inside and in a covered screened in area. I got the enchiladas with rice and beans. I loved the rice, cooked perfectly and just enough tomatoes and spices to make it very good. My dinner was wonderful. I am so glad that I stopped! And super affordable!
