Bidrage med feedbackThe best Chinese restaurant in the city... The spring rolls are great....
Love that place. You should try spring roll and sour spicy soup.
Excellent food, great service but expensive menu prices.
Having lived in Asia for over 8 years, I know a thing or two about the different regional Chinese cuisines. Macau’s menu is just a mess no consistency and surely no regional identity. We were in a group of 8 adults and 2 children and ordered spring rolls and 4 mains dishes. It was plenty of food for all. But, it was definitely not delicious: the spring rolls are a gigantic mess of fried bread ? filled with vegetables, the shitake with oyster sauce salty as a mine salt and the noodles flavourless… The rice was ok. The venue is nice and the service was ok, but I am afraid this restaurant tarnishes the reputation of the food scene of the town where it got inspired, at least for it’s name! If you enjoy Sichuan or Cantonese food, do not bother…
The food is OK, but the service is terrible. I 've lived in China for over three years and I 'm very familiar with Chinese food. I 've ordered fish with assorted vegetables, sweet and sour pork, fried rice (they call it Chau Chau in the menu) and spring rolls. The fish and the pork were fine, maybe a bit too sweet for me, but definitely not the worst I 've eaten. The spring rolls were some huge bizarre thing that looked like bread but with a moist filling of mushrooms, cabbage and sauce. The bread bit (what should be the crispy outside layer) tasted super oily and wet, it was really horrible, but the inside was good. I 've also ordered jasmine tea and it tasted like crappy and cheap tea, it didn 't even remind me of jasmine. However, the worst bit of all was the service. The waitresses in colorful clothes did most of the lower-level stuff like serving and collecting dirty dishes, and they were OK. The waitresses in black were the ones taking orders and collecting payment. These ones didn 't smile at all, looked at us like they were doing us a favor, tried to rush us to order as soon as we got to the table (and once again after we told them we weren 't ready) and just looked plain cold. I had my two daughters and they didn 't help at all. They could, for example, have offered their kids chair, but they just stood there looking at us getting the chair ourselves. It felt like a horrible environment, even considering the often bad service you encounter in China. I 'm not going back to this restaurant.
