Bidrage med feedbackWe will definitely return again soon. Smaller and more intimate than its big brother next door. Much smaller menu but all four of us found something delicious to eat. And the shrimp appetizer is NOT to be missed! But the variety of whisky stands alone as its best attraction!!!
Great drinks and amazing food. It snowed and it was so nice being next to the window watching the snow fall
Ambiance is nice, was quiet although there weren’t many people there on a Saturday night. We wanted a comfortable place to watch the sone rod the Apple Cup while we ate. It’s very comfortable seating and space. Nice place to meet up with a couple friends for a drink or sit at the bar before going to dinner somewhere. Or maybe grab a night cap to unwind after a dinner somewhere. No surprise an extensive whiskey selection. We had a couple mixed cocktails that appeared tiny, especially once they are filled with ice. Didn’t bother ordering another round. We were looking forward to some good food and were hungry. Food was a big disappointment considering it’s part of the John Howie collection : For food we ordered: Pretzels which I was thinking would at least be comparable to 520’s happy hour pretzel). I can heat up better grocery store frozen pretzels at home. Shrimp appetizer, this was the best of all of the food although not enough to crave and say, I can’t wait to come back for the shrimp not like the shrimp at the John Howie bar). Steak flat bread was a good sized pizza. Nothing special though. All 4 of us stared at the last piece and thought, nah, not worth filling up on. 2 of the beet salads, good thing because the portions are tiny and not all that great either. Parpadele pasta was meh, nothing special. truffle flies was a healing serving of fries with a tiny serving size enough for one person) of the “truffle sauce for dipping”. We had to pay more for extra of the dip which came in a ramekin. Aside from the overall atmosphere and a nice waitress, it was definitely underwhelming on all other fronts. Won’t be planning to return or recommend unless someone wanted to meet up quick before dinner or a quiet place to wind down with a night cap after dinner. The location is good and the room is nice.
It seemed there was only 1 server for the entire restaurant. He was great, but obviously stretched too thin and having to constantly rush.
Happy hour menu was fun and great food. I took a friend for her birthday and they gave her a special dessert that was amazing. We split the BBQ brisket flatbread and it was so great very large portion. I would go again with anyone who loves Whiskey they have a ton of offerings.
