Bidrage med feedbackThe dim sum here is excellent, but it's quite pricey! If you take a 20-minute drive over the bridge to Chinatown, you'll find dim sum that tastes just as good for half the price.
Three observations. They close the kitchen between 15:30 and 16:00. However, there is no sign on the door that fixes this. So I saw that several parties were turned away at the door that didn't look very happy. Secondly, the waiting staff practically cries in the dining room. Maybe. I should show some cultural sensitivity, but the people who scream in my ear while I try to eat is something I can't get used to. Third, our waiter demanded a cash tip. Seriously? Why don't you let the customer decide how to tap? Overall, the food was delicious, but customer service really distracts from the culinary experience.
This restaurant is quite pricey for a dim sum spot. Don't go in expecting the traditional dim sum experience where you can order a variety of small dishes, as each dim sum bowl costs between $10 to $15. While the portions are larger, which justifies the higher prices, the overall experience doesn’t align with what I anticipated from a place called Dim-Sum Factory. The service was good, but I was surprised to find that cash tips were preferred. This didn't bother me too much, as I've encountered similar requests in Chinatowns in NYC, LA, and Chicago. However, it felt a bit at odds with the restaurant's attempt to present an upscale dining experience rather than a classic dim sum atmosphere. The food was decent, but if I'm looking for authentic dim sum, there are other places that offer a more traditional experience.
The food was good, but the customer service was unacceptable. Our waiter brought us the bill and bluntly asked us to leave cash for the tip. Although we chose to leave cash despite this rude request, when he came back to collect the bill, he only glanced at it for a moment before turning around and asking, "Where's the tip?" I would advise against dining at this restaurant, as it seems clear that others have also experienced issues with the service.
Walked in and the waiter didn?t come to the entrance to greet us, instead, he waived us over. it wasn?t very busy. He came and took our tea cups away and after that we never saw him since because others were serving us. We ordered through our phones and his co worker(s) served us. At the end i asked for a check and he came to give it to us and I gave no tip because i couldn?t justify what i was tipping for and he chase me down to ask for tip. very unprofessional and i felt pressured and violated. food was okay i had better.
