The Beaufort Pub - Belleville

My first visit to this restaurant was quite an adventure. The entrance had interesting art pieces, and I wasn't sure which door to use at first, but I eventually figured it out. The interior of the restaurant was dark with limited natural light, and the furniture was old but added to the unique atmosphere. I noticed a man sleeping in a chair, which was a bit unexpected. We decided to order some wings and a side of fries. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive. The wings were really good, but unfortunately, the fries were old and soggy. One thing to note, the celery that came with the dish was also past its prime. They had live music playing, so I plan on returning to experience that next time. Cheers.

This is a traditional pub with a genuine pub atmosphere and friendly, accommodating staff. While I stuck to the British classics, which were delicious and authentic, my friends tried other items on the menu and were also impressed. I would highly recommend this place to all.

The pub menu offers generous portions at a slightly high price. We spent around $80 for dinner for 3 (excluding drinks). The traditional Yorkshire pudding was decent, but seemed pre-made. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her turkey dish, which was large and made with real turkey. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was not too crowded on a Friday night, but there were some noisy drunks at the bar.

A higher quality level of food than I expected definitiw well above the typical pub-grub level. service was friendly, timely, attentive and precise. decor is easy dowdy english pub but comfortable and warm. we were in the city to go to the theatre. on Valentine's Day but because of traffic problems came for our reservation an hour late they still kept our table waiting for us for a busy night. Too bad we had to eat and run, I would have enjoyed staying longer.

Four of us ordered Prime Rib and got a slab of meat a quarter inch thick that was over cooked and difficult to cut with the serrated knife. Two were returned and a long wait for the promised 'new cut ' ended in having another choice...that did not satisfy. Not much to read between the lines here but there will not be a repeat visit.
