Bell The Cat - Belfast

Belfast Maine is one of my favorite destinations in Maine. It is a beautiful seaside town with many excellent restaurants, Bell the Cat is one of them. I'll go to breakfast and lunch. Not only can you eat inside now, but you can also use the drive window or pick up your food from the pick-up spots outside. It houses a beautiful outdoor seating area, with herbs galore grows over the tables. What is better than the smell of fresh basil and mint! And... you can even have a moimosa or other alcoholic beverages, which is a plus for a Sunday brunch or another day for this matter! My favorite breakfast is Eggs Benedict. Eggs perfectly fried, muffin slightly roasted and delicious domestic frits. Who could ask for more. The menu is extensive and you would be hard pressed to find nothing to eat. Large vegetarians, children, fresh bakery and coffee options. The staff was welcoming, and despite the hospitality of the restaurant this Sunday, food was delivered immediately. I will continue to visit Bell the Cat every visit and hope to try everything on the menu!!!

Food was pretty good. The Thanksgiving wrap had icy cold stuffing and no cranberry sauce. It has huge potential and I hope that was an isolated incident. It’s my fault for not sending it back but I ate it. The parm chicken sandwich was very good. Really juicy chicken. Coffee was goody Small portions and big prices. $64 for 2 adults to have lunch with ice tea/soda. Really like the food overall and the friendly staff. We will try again and see how it goes but will be a treat and not a weekly stop due to prices vs portions. 1/28/2022 Returned to give it another try. Bravo! The soups were delicious and super happy with portion size/price. My turkey sandwich was thick with toppings and for that, I applaud you. Friendly/quick service. Will be returning as often as possible. Worth the hour drive to get to you and the lovely town of Belfast. Updating review to 5 stars.

Finally a great sandwich! Very lean open face reuben with lots of meat. And a fantastic Pastrami Swiss (add coleslaw!! The menu was loaded with smoothies and lattes and paninis. It was a bit overwhelming, but I'm glad to try something new every time. Many desserts to take home.

I have eaten a loose bell, the cat sandwich from a well maintained event hours after the end of the sessions. It was even better than any other sandwich in town. Your food and coffee is amazing! The above is only for funny reference. The food is always fresh, amazing and beyond compare. Well worth the trip from any distance.

One of my favorite spots in Belfast. Your weekly specials are always so creative that it is hard to get the clips on the menu. The staff is so friendly and the place is always impeccable!
