Poor service quality of food terrible and very expensive. The place could also do with a good clean. Please tell your staff it cost nothing to smile

Recently, I met a colleague for breakfast at this restaurant. The food and service were satisfactory, but I couldn't help but notice a significant increase in prices. A couple of years ago, you could get a meal with tea or coffee for around £12, but now it's closer to £20. I believe that restaurants in this area are charging too much and may end up losing customers as a result.

We used to frequent this restaurant often because it was a charming and reasonably priced establishment. However, our recent visit with 2 adults and 2 kids left us extremely disappointed. The French toast we ordered for £3.95 was just one soggy slice of bread that the child couldn't even finish. The pancake we ordered for the same price was tiny and served on a side plate. My husband's scone was rock hard and the slice of wheaten bread they tried to serve us was burnt and minuscule. My 4-piece fry was a total letdown - two tiny discs of potato bread, a small piece of poorly cooked black pudding, and a sliver of fatty bacon, all for £4.95. When I complained about the food and the rude waitress at the register, no discounts or apologies were offered. They also used to offer free refills on filter coffee, but now charge 50p for a refill. I have been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years and I am baffled at how this place has declined so drastically. It used to be a reliable spot for fresh pastries and well-priced meals, but I will never be returning after this disappointing experience. The food was poor quality, overpriced, and the portions were small. The customer service was also terrible.

We went to this restaurant for the first time this afternoon for a breakfast fry-up. It was busy but we were served promptly by friendly and attentive staff. The fry-up was one of the best I've ever had, and they had a wide variety of teas and delicious coffee. We will definitely be returning!

Four of us went to SD Bells today. It was a very disappointing experience. 3 of us got the 6piece fry. The poached eggs were hard bullet hard, one fry had only 5 items. We complained about the eggs and only one plate was whisked away. By the time it came back, others had made do with what they had been given. The plate that was brought back was almost thrown on the table (still minus an item), with a very sarcastic 'there you are Madam ' No apologies were offered. The lattes were cold. They did offer a reduction in price, (hence the 2 dot rating, not 1 dot), but we wont be back.
