Salt Bistro - Belfast

I made a reservation online for the next evening, but the restaurant cancelled my booking and couldn't accommodate me when we arrived. They also took 4 hours to notify me of the cancellation. This was going to be our first visit to Salt, but we won't be making another reservation.

Came here for lunch after arriving in Belfast after seeing great reviews. Very friendly staff the Male who served us seemed to be the owner recommended to my friend the best cider and beer to try there which was lovely. We both had an Irish beef burger with caramelised onions and cheese on! Was beautiful. Would recommend

The food at this restaurant is truly exceptional. Four of us dined here and we all loved the food so much that we returned the next night, and it was even better. The tables are spread out so you don't feel cramped, the service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is outstanding, the presentation is excellent, and along with the drinks, it is reasonably priced. I would suggest going early to take advantage of the pre-theatre prices. I don't usually recommend restaurants, but I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who appreciates good food.

We stopped in for dinner as we were staying nearby without a booking and they made space for us. The food was very good seafood chowder was superb with lots of meat and the mains were outstanding I had the lamb which was perfectly cooked and a lot of it. The chicken was enjoyed by 2 of the family and that hit the spot too. Service was unobtrusive and everything we needed. Good prices and well worth a visit if in the St Anne's cathedral area.

The pre-theater meal (2 courses for 16) was excellent in quality and value. I chose a starter of goat cheese that came with a very tasty salad garnish. This included pomegranate seeds, fresh beets, and cashews. For my main course, I had Thai chicken and shrimp curry which was very good. Everything was washed down with a very fine glass of Bardolino. Excellent service and atmosphere.
