Deanes Meat Locker - Belfast

Perfectly cooked steaks (we went for fillet), and a friendly, efficient service in a superb location. Triple cooked chips were fantastic. Our table was right beside the kitchen so was great to see the chefs in action. Highly recommended!

Fantastic dinner. Started off with an Irish Old Fashioned that was appropriately strong. 8 oz filet ordered medium rare was done perfectly and delicious. It didn 't technically need the chili fennel butter, but it was there so why not? The triple cooked chips were the thickest fry-type cut of potato I 've ever had with a crispy outside and soft center. All was brought out piping hot. I wasn 't about to quit without desert, so I got the Chocolate Delice w/ cherry vanilla ice cream. Excellent finisher. As I 'm traveling on business I was alone, but the atmosphere here would be better enjoyed as a couple or a group. I refuse to let being alone stand in the way of a good meal. I included pictures of their current menus so you can see the other offerings. It 's not cheap, but will certainly be a memorable meal if you go.

My meal here was good and average. We started with Korean chicken wings and risotto both were good. Then chateaubriand this was average we asked for med rare definitely more rare to raw and the chips were dry I didn't complain as we haven't been out in a while and didn't want any stress. Staff excellent and atmosphere was nice

Staff absolutely lovely kind and nice .but the food wasn't great the t.bone steak was £50 and I have honestly had better steaks from a pub I asked for it to be medium it was on the well done side. honestly for a Restaurant that has such a good name in Belfast it was 5/10 maby we just got it on a bad night .

I hate to write a negative review but my overall experience here was disappointing and it was also my first experience and celebrating my 30th, food was good but not amazing, exciting or special, expected a lot more from this restaurant, I really cant say its worth the money, i also must add that the ambience was very flat too. I would love to give this place another chance hoping it was a one off unfortunate experience but I'm not sure I will be rushing back.
