Steak 'n Shake - Bedford

We stopped at home on the way back. we ordered our food and when our number of young men was called in the kitchen, he knocked down our food and the mgr was rude. we will not be back. do not understand why people have to be rude, careless, and just wrong. we were talking to us as if we were dirty when we asked why our tablet was dropped on the tresor.

Great location in steak and shake! all in evansville have closed so it was nice to grab a familiar bite we didn't have in one. everyone was very friendly and polite and despite the not ordering of a child meal, we were brought some apple juice and apple sauce for our daughter. great place to bring the family!

Have you tried the Butter Steakburger? I can't recall ever having a burger that tasted so incredible. I ordered it loaded and added sautéed mushrooms. The bun had a buttery seasoned blend that made it absolutely delicious. The fries were hot and fresh, too. While the kiosk ordering stations were quite basic, they allowed for customization of orders. Steak 'n Shake also earned bonus points for offering Coke Zero!

I wouldn't have even rated this restaurant with a star, but that was the only option available. While the food is delicious and the restaurant is clean, the staff is inadequate. If your employees can't handle simple orders—like two single burgers without cheese and with salad and tomatoes—then there is a problem. Why should I have to make a return trip to the restaurant just to get my order right? It would mean spending extra on gas, and I feel insulted by that attitude. They need to train their staff better and take responsibility for their mistakes, including delivering the corrected order to my door. I may not have spent twenty dollars, but that was the last dollar you'll receive from me. This restaurant used to be successful for many years, but many others have now closed, and I fear this one might face the same fate. Bedford is a small community, and people here won’t tolerate poor, incompetent service.

I was really looking forward to my visit to Steak n' Shake. The service was good, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the food didn't meet my expectations, and they forgot my mom's coffee. It's disappointing to see how this nostalgic place has declined. On a positive note, the staff was nice, and my interactions with them were enjoyable.
