With a large room out the back this place is ideal for private parties and events but sophistication isn’t the order of the day. Blu-tak remains on the walls from years of previous parties and the peeling paint jobs on the walls really should have been touched up by now. The toilets are in desperate need of a facelift and it’s a tough choice between washing your hands and making them even more dirty on the towels vs not bothering to wash in the first place. The main bar area on the other side of the event room is clearly a local’s haunt with the vibe of an ex-working men’s club. There’s a coupe of pool tables and darts board plus loads of seating. It’s a fairly comfortable area to relax in but again, is in desperate need of a facelift. The range of drinks behind the bar is adequate for such a place and the prices are very reasonable. The quality of service behind the bar was hit and miss, from awful to decent, depending on the member of staff. The glassware was clean enough and the quality of drinks fine. It’s certainly more of a regular’s social club than a pub and even if I was hiring out for a private event it won’t suit a lot of occasions. Given a decent lick of paint and tidy up it’d be a lot better, but it has a lot of potential!

I must congratulate the owners for how well they present the pub. The frontage is always clean and flower boxes are beautiful. I really must come in for a drink sometime I hear the service and welcome is just as good. We'll done.

Very friendly staff and service. Great lighting around the pool table. Great choice of drinks too. Smirnoff flavoured shots are really good. Melon and pineapple with lemonade is awesome.

I came here a couple of weeks ago maybe three for a night out with two other people, the drinks prices are okay and the selection is fine. When me and my two mates walked in everyone just stares at you and then starts talking you can tell everybody in there knew each other and was probably regulars so I don’t know if that’s maybe why everyone just stared at us?? Service wasn’t exactly the best was slow at times even when there was not a lot of people at the bar, a few times me and my mates had to keep calling the barmaid/barman over to get served as these two was just chatting, laughing and messing around together. I did find their actions quite inappropriate for a work place area where you’re constantly having to serve people, me and my two mates wasn’t sure if maybe these two employees where a couple? Maybe that’s why they was the way they was but even still if they’re a couple they still should not be displaying them sort of actions behind the bar.....made me and my two friends feel a little awkward going out to the bar at times and having to call them over. Apart from that it was an okay nite, the place could do with a re-vamp to look more modern and the girls toilets could do with some spruising up and my mate said the men’s toilet could do with some cleaning as was quite dirty.

Went for the first time 2 weeks ago . Fantastic Rock band . The bar staff were so friendly and the owner was so lovely . Went again on Saturday night . Rock singer on she was amazing , and once again had a brilliant evening . Thank you once again . I will be returning soon
