Bidrage med feedbackWe are regular customers of cafe rouge but we experienced an absolutely terrible meal tonight, on the last day of our holiday (on vatertag) in woburn centre parcs. first, in the arrival we were presented with a slip of paper, in which we have a significant amount of straightened from the menu steak, confit ente, framed spinat, scallopisses, b secondly, all “fresh” objects that we have ordered (e.g. chalk; lemon content) were very old and devastated, long been sitting in the air and the carrot sticks were not even peeled. Thirdly, our main courts were terrible. I had to give back my whistles, because they were very overcooked, and I feared that they were also old, they grieved and had a powdery resistance. my wife ordered rinderbourguignon, who looked and tasted like she could have been sitting around for a long time. I couldn't even begin to choose another option to replace my whistles, as the terrible foods and items are missing from the menu, so I went without a main course. Fourth, all the dives that were served (manonnaise; calamari dipping sauce) were hurried over the sides of the dishes in which they were served. the whole experience was terrible. Given the competition of other restaurants in woburn center parcs (which are absolutely excellent), I fear that the caffe rouge may not be able to compete.
Stopped in for a drink in the sunshine whilst waiting for the kids in the pool Excellent service Good olives and flat bread (didn’t eat from the main menu) Aperol spritz needed a bit of a stir but apart from that all good Complimentary cocktail...for my wife as it was her birthday as well which was a lovely touch
We ate at Cafe Rouge several times during our Centerparcs stay and found the staff to be consistently fabulous around my daughter's peanut allergy. They were endlessly helpful, and when she was unable to eat fries from the fryer, they oven cooked them for her...so she wasn't disappointed. Cafe Rouge saved the day, enabling her to have a treat after a disappointing experience at Las Iguanos. I would definitely recommend Cafe Rouge at Woburn Centerparcs to anyone who has peanut allergy. I would like to say a particular thank you to Emma and Danielle, but we also had other wonderful waitresses whose names I wish I could remember. Even short staffed, they were always ready to help.
Attempted to get breakfast at 10am. Restaurant pretty empty three tables full out of about 40. Was asked ‘have you got a booking?’ Answer was no. We just felt like having breakfast. ‘Sorry we are only serving bookings because of delivery problems’. Extraordinary. So...we went online and in 23 minutes’ time there are 15 slots available for ‘booking’. This is absolutely crazy. The truth of the matter is there are two staff serving and they have absolutely no incentive to encourage trade. They’re paid the same if they are busy or quiet. So they are unable to do anything at all but if you waited 23 minutes and booked online you could have your pick of 15 empty tables. This is utter madness. Center Parcs are good, but the food offerings are woeful.
Waitress was amazing and ran the whole place. Sadly the food was very sad. . Chicken liver pate was watery and yuck. King prawns were ok but not enough chilli. Sirloin steak was too chewy and mussels were ok but broken and bashed about. We...didn’t bother waiting for a dessert.
