Shoney's - Beckley

I enjoy coming here when I visited my family. The salad bar is always fresh and has the coldest WV beer in town!

That was my first visit to this special Shoney's. I was glad to discover that they offer a special low price for seniors on Monday. The food was delicious. My young granddaughter rated her chicken pliers 10/10, and she's a hard food critic! We will return!

In the opposite, where we stopped for lunch, service was fast and efficient, the menu was typical for most shoneys and offered many choices, including the lunch buffet for $9.99.I had the Cod fish sandwich w/rice pilaf, she chose the truthahn club w/fresh vegetables. both sandwiches were very good w/ fresh bread/back and plentiful, the sweet were cooked properly, but were bland and not seasonal, the rice was very good and tasteful and was different from all I had eaten before, all said a very good lunch w/ an average price point, we will return.

I love shoneys restaurants, but I was honestly not very impressed by this new one in the shopping center. the restaurant was clean and sitting was good, but eating was not the shoney’s quality that I have always received when eating at many different restaurants. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s a new restaurant or what, but eating wasn’t what they think when they think shoney’s!

PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! It is absolutely disgusting. When we walked in and asked our manager how much the buffet bar was for 4 people and she said it was 8.99 Each, we got to the register and it was $79.00!!!!!! Another thing is that their was 8 things on the Hot Bar and when we got our plates that were not clean whatsoever. We had gotten to the register a friend and a person behind us had threw up all over the floor. And remind this restaurant is brand new. PLEASE HERE ME OUT DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!
