Smaaken Waffle Sandwiches Food Truck

We had a wonderful time dining out as a family! The highlight of the night was definitely our 3-year-old's vegan peanut butter and syrup waffle sandwich—it was so tasty! We even had a playful debate over who would get to enjoy her leftovers.

I was also excited to discover that the chai and hot chocolate were vegan. I ordered the hot chocolate, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations, and I ended up not finishing it. Additionally, I noticed that the prices on DoorDash are quite high. While the sandwiches are priced between $8.00 and $9.50 on their website, on DoorDash they cost between $12.00 and $14.25. At those prices, I definitely don't think it's worth it!

Several vegan options on the menu. Portion size a little smaller than expected. So delicious! We'll be back next weekend (if not sooner).

Another time, I added vegan sausage to the vegan club sandwich, which typically includes tofu, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and sauce. Although I was charged extra for the sausage, when I received my order, the tofu was missing. When I inquired about it, the employee hesitated, then informed me they were out. So, I was essentially going to be charged $10 for just a tomato, cucumber, and lettuce sandwich? Fortunately, all the other staff members have been wonderful, and the food is generally great.

Cute food cart in a food cart complex. I went there before work hoping to get a nice, comfort option for breakfast. What I got was a sad excuse for any waffle sandwich. The description said it came with vegan maple syrup butter. The waffle was extremely dry and the sausage was average at best. There may be some other vegan options but I couldn't even finish the waffle because it tasted like paper and was so dry and rubbery I could barely swallow it. Not my place.
