Last night we celebrated our wedding anniversary at Mingo and were amazed by how many employees greeted us with happy anniversary. Clearly they pay attention when people identify on OpenTable that they are celebrating an event, and it made us feel even more welcome than usual. Even our server, a lovely young woman named Lee, who we 'd never met, warmly wished us a happy anniversary when she came to get our drink orders. Lee was very attentive throughout our evening and gave some great advice on what dishes to order. As it turned out, the lasagna that I had in mind had sold out, so my wife and I both got the bucatini with sausage and split a Mingo (Caesar) salad that was garlicky and delicious. The bucatini was flavorful and in such generous portions that we took home enough for a third meal, which our son happily devoured later in the evening. The weather was perfect and it was so nice to enjoy our meal, and to bump into friends, on the patio. Yet another in a long line of lovely dinners at Mingo. And we 're pleased that the newer employees, like Lee, are just as personable and engaging as those who have been there for many years. When you sit down at your table and one employee comes over for hugs and another stops by just to catch up, you know you 're at the right place.
