Hayat African Halal - Beaverton

The Lamb was from this world! I often had lamb, but not the shaft part. This was so delicate, so tasteful, served on a bed rice with onions and peppers. I had to go back for the second time and have it again; it was consistently superior. Excellent, attentive, courteous service, from the same gentleman, also met the owner who hit the Tilapia with coconut sauce, wanting to try that, definitely. Hayat African Halal, you are a jewel, at this point countless possibilities! We will miss the beauty of Oregon, also this unforgettable Hayat African Halal restaurant. Always excellent food and service, thank you.

When visiting CA, this place did not find far from us and wanted to try. I'm glad. Have filled somalian pastries (very tasty), yellow lentils (very good and mild), roasted lamb shank (very tender and fell from the bone), beef sugaar (that was the best) and chicken kere (moist and tender). Everything was wonderfully seasoned and tasteful. Come back to the city to visit family. Also try the Somalia coffee if you like ginger, give it a try. Owners and employees were very helpful and friendly. I'm sorry, no photos of food.

This East African restaurant is located in a plaza with many parking spaces. It is cozy where you can dive or take off. That was my first time and I loved it. Service was wonderful, the food is delicious, and the price is not bad. It'll be back soon.

The first time here and love it! The food was so good! Very tasteful and delicious!! It is a sweet little place....restaurant and marketplace inside. You have a little of everything you can buy! Great service!

I hate to leave a bad review because I've never had east African food before. However, I do know that it shouldn't be luke warm. The rice did not taste fresh and the beef.... well.... the texture was out of the ordinary. The sautee chicken sauqaar was heavily seasoned, in my opinion not in a good way. The seating is in the middle of a grocery store. A little awkward when people go in to shop. Customer service was good.
