Bidrage med feedbackIt was our third trip to the Pacific Northwest, staying at this property… this time for five nights. We’ve stayed in two of the beautiful Cabins. They are nicely appointed with comfy bed and pillows, fully equipped kitchen, and a lovely family room with fireplace and TV.(movies only). The moss-covered bridge down to the river will take your breath away. The hosts were helpful in directing us to restaurants, grocery store, etc. All in fairly close proximity. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine listening to the river flow by was so relaxing. Definitely the place to be to unwind and distress. We will be back but next time with the grandkids!
There was only one downside to the Cabins at Beaver Creek… I only booked two nights and wish I had spent more of my trip here! Seriously, this place is amazing. Whatever time you want to spend here, at least add on one more night. The cabins have everything and are so cozy. We were in Cabin 1; fireplace, kitchen, tea/coffee and all accompaniments that go with that, a grill on the porch, super comfy bed and pillows, large comfortable bathroom, swivel tv, access to a large DVD collection, reading material in the cabin. And thats only what’s IN the cabin. Outside wonderful ambience, birds, access to private spots on the river, a charming old bridge, feeding maple leaves to the goats and cows (with owner’s permission of course), borrowing Bailey the dog to walk us to the river, s’mores by the fire, and great info on everything local from John and Michelle. John and Michelle are the consummate hosts. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. They clearly are pros at hospitality and have designed the perfect setup with their cabins. Forks is the nearest town (15 min drive) with a Thriftway for groceries. This location is perfect for half day trips to Rialto Beach, Kalaloch, Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc, and Lake Crescent. You could stay at the cabins and experience most of the major sites of Olympic National Park. If I had to do it again, I would’ve spent my entire trip here. Better ambience, better hospitality, better accommodations at a lower price than the other places I stayed on rest of trip.
What do you look for in a place to stay? I can guarantee you that this place checks off all the boxes. But first off not sure what your definition of a Cabin is but you might want to get rid of it before you come here. This is owned and run by John Michelle and a nicer, kinder, more helpful couple would be hard to find. From e mail communication to in person chats, these 2 really raise the bar. Located in Sappho right off of the 101, their property (acres I think he said 40) is home to (at least when we were there) 2 horses, 2 cows 1 calf and 2 goats and of course the hosts. As you drive in, you have a calming come over you as you make your way through the trees and park in front of your cabin . It will be waiting and ready for you. We were in cabin #2 which has a queen bed as well as a loft w/ 2 queen beds (up a staircase that would be hard if you were challenged physically). This had a full kitchen and bathroom. I could go on and on about how well equipped it all was but this far surpassed my idea of a cabin to say the least. It is located on the Sol Duc river and is so peaceful to sit out w/ coffee (or wine) and just enjoy without going anywhere if that works for you. You can take a short walk down to the river across a moss covered bridge and enjoy the birds and quiet. It is a perfect base to get to many places, Hoh Rain Forest, Sol Duc NP, Neah Bay, Port Angeles, beaches and so many other locations. At night, there is a bonfire for people to roast marshmallows (we passed on this). With all the amenities this place has, the biggest plus is John Michelle. They are a wealth of knowledge, super friendly (also super busy) and will genuinely take care of you. If you are anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula, you should stay here. If you do, please say hi to lentil (the black white goat). Happy travels.
Our cabin was clean, well-planned and comfortable. The owners are so thoughtful, making sure we had whatever we needed including a lovely campfire for s’mores they provided. The best part was the lovely, quiet rural location along the Sol Duc River.
I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more at the Cabins at Beaver Creek. The cabin was super nice inside and had everything we needed. The grounds are gorgeous, located right near a picturesque river. Michelle provided the campfire and s'mores, which just added to the experience. Michelle is also super friendly and gave us great advice on what to see in the park. I highly recommend staying here if you're going through Olympic National Park.
