Walker's Bakery - Beaver Dam

I went to this restaurant for my birthday lunch and had a terrible experience. While we were waiting for our food, a customer nearby got sick, which I didn't mind. However, things took a turn when they started spraying bleach right as our food was being served. I could taste the bleach in the food and even after they remade it, the taste lingered in my mouth. My family and I ended up not eating much. I think the restaurant should have at least offered to compensate us for the inconvenience, but they didn't. Overall, it was a bad experience and I will not be returning.

Tasty food, nice waitress, good value. I love that it is comfortable and not snooty. Lots of natural light, and a casual atmosphere.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, it's honestly my favorite place for breakfast. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. However, I was disappointed by the behavior of the owner. I saw the owner speaking disrespectfully to a staff member with a disability, right in front of everyone, threatening to send him home if he talked again. When I asked the owner about his actions, he justified his behavior by saying the staff member had a history of stealing and had been fired from other jobs. It was inappropriate to discuss this publicly and disrespectful to the staff member. Regardless of any past issues, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I hope the staff member's mother can find him a better job.

Delicious food!! Amazing service, thank you Saischia for taking such great care of us. Ham steak, scrabble eggs, hashbrowns, white toast. Chicken strips with mac n cheese and roll. The best white cheddar broccoli soup!! We highly recommend!!

Walkers, where the dumplings were the size of golf balls and your coffee cup never empty. Well, sadly that was the Walkers of the past. Dumplings no bigger than pennies and our coffee cups were empty a few times during the visit. I love supporting Mom and Pop businesses, but this is just sad. Especially growing up with Walkers breakfasts and my kids also. Given the new hours I have limited time to visit, but I did and was disappointed. I have high hopes it will come around to the Walkers we all knew and loved for years.
