Lotus de Beaune

I was here several times and was always very impressed by the Chinese buffet. in contrast to many such restaurants, the dishes are constantly refreshed here, and the place is immaculately clean no drops of the sauce coloring of the surfaces and no empty dishes. They are always friendly and pleasant, very efficient. they have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant.

The buffet is excellent and well equipped. a lot of choice and all good quality. also a good friendly service.

We have eaten here many times most recently a couple days ago for dinner. This is one of our favourite places to stop at en route to the Tarentaise area or vice versa back to UK at least 3 or 4 times a year. In...fact we try and time our journeys so we can call in either lunchtime or evening and often stay overnight at hotel nearby. Both buffet and menu food are good and staff are friendly

Pathetic food, ambience like an travel agent's office, indifferent service, good airconditioning. This looks like a home style restaurant run by a northern chinese family. We saw two children helping to serve food and mama bear taking orders so can only guess that papa bear...was in the kitchen making the food. Terrible food, i think their wok burner is smaller than 10k btu so there is no stir frying but a soggy mess of everything , apparently rescued by cornstarch if you like lots of this. Still, if you miss chinese food terribly, have a bad cold, last ate chinese food many years ago so cant really remember the taste and like buffets where you can eat three meals at once, this might be the place to go to. Enjoy bravely.

OK. It's a buffet style chinese restaurant on the outskirts of Beaune , handy for the budget hotels and close to the autroroute. Easy parking , friendly service, clean and tidy. Good range of food includes serve yourself as much as you like , prawn..., duck , pork , beef , fish and vegetables. fried boiled rice , noodle, sauces , crackers , salad etc. Not fine dining but a good supper for under €20 and a sensible pichet of wine at an economy price.I go every time I pass through Beaune, but watch out! Not open on Monday evenings. One extra point to add, the restaurant offers you as much as you like but asks patrons kindly not to pile food high on plates and then waste it ...That's fair enough!
