Bissoh Sushi - Beaune

Slow doesn't even sum it up... They took almost two hours to bring one small tray of sushi. In the mean time, they did not even offer us some appetizers. Terrible.

We tried the 5 degustation meal and was very pleased. After living in Japan for 3 years, it was difficult to find any good omikase(degustation) meal as in Japan. The chef was also from yokohama, where we lived. All the staffs were japanese. the grilled salmon we orderedfor our son was also delicious. Local beef with pinot noir and miso was divine. The sushi was also of great quality. Tempura umi was delicious! everything i remembered of how a good japanese restaurant should be.

This was one of the more memorable experiences on my trip to France. After dining in about 16 restaurants over 12 days, I can claim that this quaint, family run, establishment is focused on the highest quality ingredients and service. The wine list is mind-blowing. I wish I lived closer, I would dine here once a week.

Ich war mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden das einzige was nicht so schön war war die kühle Stimmung der Gastgeber mich hat es nicht gestört aber ein Lachen wäre doch nicht schlecht!!!!

We went to Bissoh on the recommendation of our landlord, we were very disappointed. The portion sizes of the meals were small, especially given the prices! We had sashimi (6 very small pieces for 10Euro), fried chicken, one small bowl of rice (4Euro!!!), tempura prawns (7Euro for 2 pieces), and some salmon. Will not be going back.
