Bidrage med feedbackMy partner and I ate in this restaurant when we stayed in the hotel for a night. To be honest, we were not expecting much it was a Saturday evening and for a while we were the only customers. However, once we sat down...the evening just kept getting better and better. Our waitress was charming and, from the arrival of the amuse-guile to the very last mouthful of the best creme brûlée I have ever tasted, the meal was a complete delight. This restaurant deserves to be super busy all the time, we will certainly be back.
Slightly dated decor but a large airy room in the local Logis. We came for dessert after a bad meal elsewhere, but the meals we saw others eating looked fine. Dessert was simple but acceptable. Service was fine but it would have been good if...the waitress hadn’t looked so miserable!
A great place to have a meal, reasonable prices add to very pleasant staff and excellently prepared food. Very nice will call again
We booked into a nearby chambre d'hote and as it was already quite late, headed to this nearest restaurant. It has a separate bar, (it being also a hotel) So we took an aperitif therein and requested a table. The dining area was very extensive...and almost empty save another couple and a large party in an anteroom. The menu terroire was excellent value at including a white wine with starter egg avocado salad) and a red wine with main course Beef or duck) We also had a surprise amuse bouche of a savoury creme brullee which was delightful. The décor is traditional and the service was polite but with only two servers so may be an issue for a busier night. Highly recommended if you're passing through.
Beaumont-sur-Sarthe is a small, rather sleepy town some way north of Le Mans, but being quite near a north-south motorway it's a useful stopover either at this hotel and or at the attractive municipal campsite a short walk away. This hotel restaurant, right in the...centre of town, offers a good range of menus and an extensive wine list to suit most pockets. The decor, service and food are traditional but with some up to date touches. The food is skilfully prepared and well presented, and portions are of decent size. When I ate there, an amuse-bouche was served while looking at the menu and another one preceded the starter a pleasing start to the meal. Eating here is always a good way to start or finish a trip to France if you're continuing further south. The photo shows the main course of my recent dinner there duck on a skewer.
