Spice Merchant - Beaconsfield

Unfortunately although everything looks lovely the food was not as authentic tasting as it should have been, the flavour was just not there. The staff were pleasant enough but the service was extremely slow pretty much like an afterthought. I certainly would expect better food and service for the cost, very overpriced but that could be down to the area.

Food was absolutely fabulous. Only issue is that we felt pressured to order more food than we thought we would eat by our waiter and consequently had too much. Lesson learnt be strong and stick to your guns!!

Fabulous food. A real treat. Indian fine dining. Huge portions and the onion bhajee is a must. Good atmosphere and excellent service.

Service was poor. The waiter interrupted several times. They then brought out the bill without us asking for it and then the credit card terminal. They asked if we wanted desserts, we asked to look at the menu- there was none… the waiter recited what they had. We then asked if they had hot drinks menu for after dinner- nothing and the only drinks they could offer were basic English breakfast tea or coffee. I did expect better from a restaurant of this standard.
