El Hacendado - Baytown

This place is… well, mediocre to say the least. I’m no food expert, but to back up one reviewer—the salsa is indeed watery and holds no flavor. All the Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to do not carry “salsa” like that. Also, both I and a coworker got meals with ground beef that wasn’t cooked properly. The flavors were seriously lacking. I honestly don’t recommend coming here. It’s not terrible, but it’ll definitely make you wish you ate elsewhere.

This is my first and definitely last visit here. 20$ for some extremely marginal mixed fajitas was insane. I don't know what they did to the meat but it was smashed completely flat and dried out. They had almost no vegetables at all mixed with the meat. The green and red salsa that was served with the chips was like water. I could've drank it with a straw and it didn't stay on the chips at all. I accidentally tipped 25$ and the woman who was at the register didn't even say anything about it. I'm glad I was paying attention because there was no way in hell that I'd tip more then the price of my very extremely overpriced so called meal. This Mexican food is an embarrassment to an entire culture of people.

I usually love this restaurant but been coming a few days now for breakfast and the girl is rude and lazy. I came in and placed an order to go and asked if when it was ready if they could bring it to the car out front she said no to come back in 5 minutes. So I noticed the drive thru window and asked if I could pick up there in 5 minutes she said yes. I set an alarm and then go to the window when it should be ready, there is a sign that says ring bell I ring the bell and I can see the woman thru the class sitting there playing on her phone I patiently wait and she does not move I ring the bell again still she does not move. So I call the restaurant and ask about out she answers and says it’s not ready. I mention that I have rung the bell why couldn’t she just come to the window abd tell me it’s not ready yet. Her response was we don’t do that. When the other girl finally brings my food I ask her about a manager she says no abs closed the window. I don’t know if they got new people who are too lazy to do a simple job or what but I have never been treated like this before. Very disappointed

We started coming here regularly about 6 months ago. It just beats the breaks off the other Mexican places in town.The food is amazing and most dishes are a solid $4-$5 cheaper than other places in town. Birria tacos here are only like $13, the Iguana charges $20!The service is great too. Very fast, easy to get things substituted (for free most the time too). Beer and margs here are great and a lot cheaper than the other places as well.
