He tracked me when I went to my car in the parking lot to give me my money I forgot at the terminal. Thank you for finding your customers!!! I've been shopping here for many years and I'm going to be here for many years....
While using the self-checkout, the attendant checked my ID without issue, and I promptly showed it to him (I am well over the age of 21). However, he then requested to see my wife’s ID as well, which was surprising since we've been purchasing wine together for almost three years, and it’s always been standard for only one of us to show our identification. When she explained that she didn't have her ID, he refused to sell us the wine. Interestingly, I noticed another man present who was buying a bottle of whiskey with a younger woman, and the attendant did not request her ID at all. When I asked to speak with a manager, he informed me that it was company policy, but I pointed out the inconsistency: a parent can enter with a teenage child without a problem, yet I was denied service with my wife simply because she didn’t have her ID. Both the attendant and the manager were unpleasant and quite rude to my wife, particularly the attendant. While I understand that policies exist, I believe employees should be trained to use discretion and critical thinking in situations like this. Subsequently, we went to Fred Meyer just five minutes later, where we purchased the same bottle of wine without any issues, proving that most people have the ability to exercise good judgment. This wasn’t the first time my wife has been without her ID at Safeway, but it was the only time it became such a significant issue.
For over two years. WORST job I've ever had! Supertoxic management and overall sch_tty work environment. They would think that because they are separated from the union, that it would make things better, but end the opposite.
Safeway in Battle Ground WA is the best honest shop I've ever visited in 65 years! Lose my wallet and guess who saved her? Ashley in customer service, thank you, sweetheart, the best! EVER! You should give you a super bonus for the holiday! Thank you.
The produce section at this store has consistently impressed me lately. I'm gradually shifting all my shopping back here, despite their higher prices. Today, Logan W helped me at checkout, and I found him very friendly and courteous throughout the transaction. He was also quite patient with a customer in front of me who had numerous questions about why their EBT food card couldn't be used for party supplies. If the prices were more reasonable, this place would definitely earn a 5-star rating.
