Tacos Don Chile - Baton Rouge

I really wanted to love this place. We got the tacos de lengua, tacos perrones (Carne asada), and a barbacoa torta. The lengua was tough and the skin was left on. Didn't much care for the Mayo sauce either. Best item was the tacos perrones. But the freshness left a lot to be desired. Worst yet, the lengua tacos had a hair in them ? the Aguas frescas were made from a mix, too. Id hesitate to call this place authentic. I don't know if I'll be back.

Just everything I was looking for. Only on the rarest occasions do you find a restaurant that accomplishes everything it is trying to do. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was exceptional. I wish Google allowed for me to award this restaurant 6 stars because I don’t feel that 5 stars truly captures my experience here. Bravo to you Tacos Don Chile.

Wow. I am just travelling through and stopped nearby for a night's rest. Saw the ratings and took a trip down because I needed a quick bite. On a whim, I ordered the Chilechangas. I wasn't prepared as the food was a huge portion and amazing. I was halfway through eating and already sad I wouldn't be able to visit again.

This place is amazing.. it's inside a convenient store and a hidden gem.. the staff is very kind and patient and the food is absolutely amazing.. So worth the price.. Highly recommended!! I love this place!!

The food is delicious and the service is excellent! I highly recommend this place!
