Bidrage med feedbackWe had a lovely dinner at this restaurant, which is set up beautifully with tables both inside and outside. Heaters make it cosy outside even in winter. The menu offered a good variety of options and prices, for each of entree, main and dessert. The drinks menu contained a huge range of local options, which was delightful (and made it difficult to choose a wine)! The service was great, served fairly quickly, and the food was delicious- compliments to the chef! We were in town for business but if we are back again this is where I would go!
We had a beautiful long lunch on the balcony at the Parkview Restaurant, as always the lovely Louise Pallister was there to greet us and talk us through the special Winter Festival Menu. We had a wonderful selection of shared Seafood, sliders, and Mediterranean plates, followed by an amazing soup. Of course we topped it off with a fabulous Creme Brulee and a glass or two of Three Cobbers sparkling. Highly recommend calling in and trying it out.
Love the old building and spacious settings. Even in winter, it's cosy out on the balcony and you can hear the carillons in the park opposite. Interesting menu and beautifully presented food, which tastes as good as it looks. Some excellent-value fixed-price menus, too, and a thoughtful wine selection featuring local wines. Great service to round it all off. We've been there three times in the past three weeks - definitely one of Bathurst's best.
We had a baby sprinkle luncheon here yesterday. We were warmly greeted on our arrival. Our table was prettily set up on the veranda with fresh flowers and heaters turned on It was a very cold day). There was plenty of space so we were able to mingle and chat before sitting down. A set menu was provided for $35 which included a drink - wine, beer, soft drink, coffee etc - with 3 or 4 choices for each of the three courses.A number of us chose a sparkling wine (listed as $11 per glass) as our included drink, and began lunch with that.Louise was on hand to advise on menu choices as well as manning the kitchen.I chose the scallops, the two of which were just cooked, and served with a hummus dressing and bitter leaves. Very good! The second dish was a pumpkin boulangere which was also delicious. Beautifully tender and flavoursome pumpkin with pepita seeds to add crunch.I chose the pear cake as my dessert. Gorgeously presented with a towering toffee swirl, it was a contrasting blend of flavours between the cake (with a hint of ginger) and the poached pear.So refreshing to have such wonderful quality over quantity - portion sizes were perfect. The wine list consists of locally produced wines of all the main varietals - most by the glass or bottle.Food that is so thoughtfully executed and presented is a rare and wonderful thing. The Parkview is a quiet achiever in an industry where mediocrity is all too common.Excellent value for money.Thank you!!
Lovely fresh seasonal menu. Tasteful decor, fabulous view over Kings Parade. Friendly service but a little slow. We had a limited time frame and informed the waitress on our arrival. We ordered quickly and yet our first course took half an hour to arrive. This was was frustrating as we were the only customers in the restaurant.
