Thai Buddha - Bathurst

The best thai I have come across in many years highly recommend sensational all bowls cleared too good am excited to find a this restaurant like this very well done guys

Nice little place that serves authentic Thai flavour dishes. Highly recommended the massaman curry, so tasty and the right amount of spice. Not a huge amount of dishes to choose from but enough to satisfy all cravings.

WHAT AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Food really average (chicken a bit raw) and over priced. Waiter talking down to customer in belittling tone and even raising his voice and being aggressive. If you want to pay top dollar for average Thai and potentially leave the restaurant crying and upset, definitely give this place a visit. Full account of our visit is here: When we arrived, restaurant was empty. This should have been our first hint. We ordered our food with waitress confirming order at the time. A while later, waiter comes over, not wearing his mask properly and stands within our 1.5m to reconfirm order. I am at risk for covid so this makes me feel very uncomfortable. Waiter isn't at all concerned by my discomfort and does nothing to address the issue. Waiter goes out to deliver some food. Order arrives and is incorrect. My meal did not arrive. The food that did arrive is really average for example the chicken isn't cooked properly still a bit raw. I go to waitress to enquire whether my meal was coming and she seems confused. I remind her of the meal I had ordered and she brings it to us. It is of a similar standard to food we have already received. Waiter comes back and harsh tones between waiter and waitress are heard in the kitchen. Waiter comes over to set us straight on what we had ordered. He is annoyed at us and even raises his voice at us when we explain what we actually ordered. Waiter again comes within our 1.5m and still hasn't worked out how to wear his mask properly. Eventually my husband stands up and tells the waiter that that's enough and I am concerned the waiter may hit my husband so I say we need to leave. Waiter won't let my husband and our two year old leave the restaurant blocks the only exit so they can't leave.

Had home delivery whilst on a business trip. Ordering system was easy to use. Although asks for a preferred delivery time that was not adhered to. Food was correct but received message that the chicken sticks were not available due to the fact it was to early in the night but substituted for other item. Meal was received hot but lacked taste.

Feeling like a change, we stepped into the nearby Thai Budda restaurant in Bathurst. We opted for our regular Thai favourites, satay chicken entrée and beef Pad Thai – both to share. While waiting, we were a little concerned with the shouting from the kitchen. Raised male and female voices were clearly audible and it was obvious the language was not Thai. When our meals arrived – both at the same time – the people in the kitchen appeared to be more South Asian than Thai. While we ate our food the shouting continued and made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was okay, but it was a relief to leave the Thai Budda.
