Tip: there is free parking near the Marina or it's just a ten-minute walk from the city center. And to top it off, the café is dog-friendly.

My recent visit to The Farm Gate Coffee/Oyster Bar during a morning stroll was delightful. I ordered a coffee and sampled their sugar-free mini muffins. The coffee comes in paper cups, while the muffins are served in a cardboard container. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Located in the new Batemans Bay Marina precinct, it is a pop-up style café with outdoor seating only. Despite this, it is a perfect spot to enjoy on a sunny day.

We have stopped at the Farm Gate a few times now whilst out on a walk. Whether just for coffee or for their wonderfully fresh prawns or fantastic cheese platter it is a great spot to stop at with views out over the Clyde River as it flows into the bay. Service is very friendly. Plenty of room on the grassed area with blankets for kids, and it is also dog friendly.

What a lovely spot to sit in the sun and enjoy fresh oysters. These are served with 3 or 4 different sauces/spices which changes regularly. Friendly staff, good prices and great spot They do have prawns as well which we didn't try.
