Chili's Grill - Batavia

The food was terrible but the staff was nice, attentive and the place was clean.

Signature “bottomless chips” are no longer any good. Last time we went they were cool and old. This time they were gross- the oil used was clearly rancid. Just gross. Too bad. We used to quite enjoy them.The broccoli, beans and rice were good. Margarita mix is meh.

Asked for medium rare burgers, they came out as more medium but still good. Fries were nothing special. Price was good went with the drink, appetizers meal deal for 10.99. Good deal.

It 's seems to me that places like this are just struggling to find/keep their identity.There was nothing about the food that really wowed me, that would have me dying to come back. It seems like more and more restaurants like this have done away with items on their menu like this that might attract more patrons.I 'm not quite sure what it is. Heck, maybe it 's just ME?!?! Either way, you 'll enjoy the chips and salsa, the skillet queso (though it 's a BIT salty), the fajitas are good too. Pass on the rice. Not sure how to explain it, but it wasn 't very good from what I remember. We 'll also miss the nacho appetizer that had meat, cheese and jalapeno on it. On this visit the service was good, and the atmosphere was good as well.

Was sadly disappointed to see a server trying to sweep out booths and under tables with customers sitting close by eating.
