Texas Grill Resturant - Bastrop

I moved to Bastrop about 2 years ago and finally decided to try this restaurant for lunch. I regret not coming here sooner because the food was amazing. I ordered the chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans, which cost around $12. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great! The portion size was so big that I could only eat half of it (looking forward to my dinner tonight). And the roll... it was dense and delicious! It reminded me of my grandmother's homemade rolls. It could have been a meal on its own. I'm already planning my next visit.

Great food. Great service. Clean toilet. Super clean service and restaurant. Had a grilled chicken salad. It was so big that I could only eat half. So I brought the rest home and had it for dinner. Really nice to eat.

I was thrown with the name (what thought it was lunch and dinner, but it is breakfast and lunch). This is an authentic little city-dinner experience! Friendly waiting staff, amazing bacon, cops hang out and random people in Camo. Hurry up and go before the hippies of Austin begin ironically here.

Decent food, decent prices, decent atmosphere they're just good decent people, simple as that! A Bastrop institution since, well, nobody real knows how far it goes back. It's always been there.
