Coffee Dog - Bastrop

Today, I had my first visit to Coffee Dog, and it's clear from the start that this is a local favorite. The owner knows her regular customers by name and has their usual orders ready. I tried a raspberry and white chocolate scone along with a large cappuccino, and it was just what I needed! The scone crumbled perfectly and was wonderfully sweet. Although the owner offered to warm it up, I declined. I thoroughly enjoyed every sip of the cappuccino, foam included. They also have raw sugar available in a shaker, which was the perfect touch for me. If you’re tired of giving your money to Starbucks, I highly recommend supporting this local coffee shop! I will definitely be coming back!

This is a nice spot to grab a coffee and relax. However, you should manage your expectations regarding their sandwiches; they cost $7 and are made with standard square bread, similar to HEB Honey Wheat. The sandwiches are quite basic. There’s nothing wrong with that—just be aware of what to expect. On the plus side, the coffee was good!

A charming little coffee shop! It's an ideal spot for a date, a meeting, or simply some quiet time with your coffee. Their coffee is quite good—not too strong, but you can add extra shots for a stronger brew if you prefer. They also have the largest selection of sugar-free syrup options I've seen in town, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend checking it out!

Fantastic little coffee shop to work at and enjoy your morning coffee! The staff is so kind and caring, I look forward to many more visits.

This place is a blast from the past for better or worse. I love it for being unpretentious (unlike so many other coffee shops , and I think the staff and owners are truly good folks. Updating the shop a little certainly wouldn't hurt--I can't stand the paper plates and styrofoam cups, and everything just feels so dated (coffee art, furniture, signage, even paint colors , but I'll keep coming even if they don't. There aren't many other options in town, and Starbucks just gets more annoying every day. Food and coffee are decent, service is good, pricing is fair, music is pleasant. : Easy location and parking.
