The White Horse Inn - Bassetlaw

This was our first visit to the restaurant and it definitely won't be our last. The staff were friendly throughout our entire experience, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The bar area was inviting and a great place to wait for our table. The food was excellent quality.

The Sunday roast at this restaurant is fantastic. The meat is cooked to perfection and served with a variety of freshly prepared vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, and gravy. It never disappoints.

We visited last night with our daughter and our son in the law. the ales to the draft were well kept. the food was enormous. Many thanks to all the staff who made us so welcome. we will return.

We visited the White Horse on the last two Mondays with friends. On arrival we were met in the porch by the landlady, asked to sanitise our hands, had our temperatures and contact details taken and shown to our table. She explained the new Covid...procedures, which included all orders for food and drink being taken at the table. All the staff wore masks, the tables were well spaced out and there were plastic screens protecting those sat by a walk through. The three-course meal was excellent and was well worth the it would have been without the discount. It was a most enjoyable evening, we felt perfectly safe. Thank you for two great evenings. We thoroughly recommend the welcome and the food at the White Horse Inn.

We have been regular customers here for a while. Mike Elaine go above and beyond to accommodate everyone as best they can. Social distancing measures are strictly in place; adhering to the track trace upon entering, checking for temperature, Perspex sheets between tables...and hand sanitiser available upon entrance and exit. We visited for Sunday lunch and ordered starters and mains from out in the garden before being seated, which was a lovely touch on a beautiful day. Both courses were fantastic as expected. Mike’s food is always beautiful and I would recommend his salt and chilli tiger prawns to anybody!
