Oriental Break - Basingstoke and Deane

I placed an order over the phone at this restaurant, picked up my food, and realized I was missing the chow mein when I got home. I called to explain the issue and after some complaining, I was told that the delivery driver would bring the missing chow mein and provide a refund for two orders in about half an hour. However, after an hour passed, I called again to inquire about the driver and was told he would arrive shortly. When I expressed concern about the delay, I was told that it was just a refund and not a new order. Despite being initially promised the chow mein, the person on the phone denied this and even laughed when I mentioned it. The driver eventually arrived with the refund, but the whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again, as they have a reputation for bad service, rudeness, mistakes, and poor hygiene ratings. Additionally, they are more expensive than other Chinese restaurants. I recommend going to Woos instead and avoiding this establishment.

Best Chinese in town in my opinion. Annoying that it's cash only but worth it, curry is always on point and the pancake rolls are huge and full of meat and prawns as well as veg. Delivery can be a little slow on a busy night but it means the food is always being made fresh and that they are popular both positives in my book.

I have used this take away before and the food is good and usually the service is excellent. I phoned ahead on 21/11 to pace a good order for delivery and the lady agreed to get it delivered for 730pm. But it didn't arrive and when I called they apologized saying the order had been forgotten. This meal was fir a birthday celebration and really spoilt my evening. If you make an order don't make it too far in advance as it seems they can't manage.

Another great meal from oriental break. First since lockdown, not lost their touch. We had chicken chow mein, crispy chilli beef, sweet and sour chicken HK. Style, special fried rice, food was fantastic. Enough left over for lunch tomorrow.

Best Chinese in Basingstoke by far. The food is always fresh and flavoursome, haven’t yet been disappointed. Can only assume any negative reviews are based on wait time although that’s never been an issue for us. I’ll be ordering my usual for my last meal on Death Row.
