Ripe - Barrie

Downtown lunch spot. The salad was absolutely fantastic! The house-made dressings were so good that I had to take the leftovers home. The chocolate donuts were also amazing, especially for being vegan. It was a bit pricey at $17 for the salad and donuts, and $12 for each juice (500ml), but it was a splurge worth every penny. I will definitely be returning.

I have only tried a few of their juices, but I know that everything is made fresh in-store, which is fantastic! This sweet little restaurant is located in downtown Barrie, very close to Boon Burger (check out my review for that place!). You can enjoy a delicious vegan burger and then have a refreshing juice. They also make an incredible peanut butter and jam smoothie!

There may not be much competition in Barrie for fresh juice, so this is what you get. I wasn't overly impressed as I wanted a custom juice to accommodate my allergy that other juices contain, but they were not willing to make adjustments for me.

Now that I know how to taste juicing, I can't even look at my juicer.

Not sure why I've never sat down to review Ripe considering I'm a regular customer! I have tried pretty much all the juices offered as well as the nut mylks and I've never had one that I didn't love! I've also done 1 juice cleanse...(Green run and it was delicious, just hard for me to keep up with because I'm not used to drinking so many fluids in a day. Shortly after they introduced the half day cleanse, which would probably be better for myself. The staff here are always so amazing and helpful and I highly recommend them! If you ever need help they're all very knowledgeable about their products. Favourite Juice: Recovery Lemonade (I love sour things! Favourite Smoothie: Yoga Warrior Keep up the great work!
