Journey Cafe - Barrie

We absolutely loved the savory crepes, which were generously sized for a full meal. The crepes are thin and delightful, just like those you'd find in Paris. We're definitely planning to return for the dessert options, possibly the Nutella and banana crepe, after the show. It's refreshing to have something different from pizza for a meal before or after a movie at the Cineplex—just follow the signs from their parking lot. (The entrance to Journey's Cafe is visible from Hwy 400.) You won't regret it! Barrie finally has a creperie, so there's no need to travel to Quebec for the real thing.

We hosted a baby shower here last weekend, and I must say, it was incredible. The venue is gorgeous and spotless, and the owner is a wonderfully kind person. The prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely choose Journey Cafe again for future events. Thank you so much for everything!

I’ve visited this restaurant several times to satisfy my sweet cravings. My husband and I have gone together a few times, even enjoying some karaoke while we were there, which was fun! The place is very clean, and the food is always fresh. However, it's rarely busy, and most of the time I've attempted to go, it's been closed. Just a few days ago, I drove by, and it appears to be closed, and is now for sale and for rent. I suspected this might happen. The main problem seems to be the location; it's not well known, and you really have to go out of your way to get there. I'm hopeful they're not shutting down permanently but simply relocating. It’s quite disappointing because the city could really use a late-night dessert spot like this.

I brought my boyfriend, he loved it. Brought my mom, she loved it. Recommended it to my roommate, she loved it!!! The gluten free crêpes are better than regular crêpes I have eaten anywhere else! (And thank you for bringing back the real plates! Pro tip: tomato, basil and brie crêpe is the best crêpe.

Great atmosphere including a patio. Wonderful wonderful crepes with very fresh ingredients that fill the inside. They do not skimp on anything and the crepes are Huge! Very reasonable prices. I loved their savory crepe and I will certainly be back to try the sweet.
